The North America Regional Playoff has been concluded with eight teams qualified for the PUBG Americas Series (PAS) – Phase 1 Grand Final. The tournament had 16 teams participants, nine from the Open Qualifiers and seven invited, battling in 12 matches across two days, on Saturday and Sunday.
Out of 12 matches, Luminosity Gaming won five of them, two on the first day, which ended with Shoot To Kill (STK) leading the leaderboard with 77 points, 51 from kills and 26 from matches placements. Soniqs, which got two Chicken Dinners on Saturday, ended the opening day in 2nd place, with 69 points, of which 42 from kills and 27 from matches placements. Luminosity got the 3rd position, with 64.
On Sunday, Luminosity, led by Matt “Kickstart” Smith, performed even better by winning half of the six matches and adding 114 points to reach the 178 that gave them the lead in the leaderboard. In total, Luminosity had 108 points from kills and 70 from placements in matches.
Soniqs maintained their spot to finish 2nd place in the Regional Playoff. They got 146 points in total, of which 97 from kills and 49 from matches placements.
STK got 3rd place with one Chicken Dinner, the one obtained on Saturday, and 92 points in total.
In addition to the top 3, the following teams also made it to the Grand Final: Friendly Fire, Third Eye, Elevate, Funny Business INC and Dynamic.
The top 8 teams from the North American Regional Playoff will join the eight ranked teams from the Latin American Regional Playoff in the PAS1 Grand Final to be played from March 24rd to 26th, with a prize pool of US$ 95,000
