As the ESL PUBG Masters Americas: Phase 2 kicks off, so does the registration for the PUBG Continental Series 5 Americas (referred to as “PCS5 Americas” going forward)! Open Qualifiers will start on August 11th, clear your schedules and take a look below for more information on the structure of the event and how to sign up!

NA and LATAM will have their own qualifier and Group Stage and then be coming together to compete as the combined Americas region during the Last Chance Qualifier and Grand Final. Open Qualifiers
Open Qualifiers will begin on August 11th, with each of the three rounds consisting of 2 days with 6 matches each day, for a total of 12 matches per round. The top teams from each lobby, using the Point Rule scoring system found in SUPER, move onto the next round. The exact lobby composition will depend on the amount of sign-ups so make sure you check the GLL tournament page for the exact number of teams moving forward each round. The top 8 teams from the Round of 16 (Ro16) will move onto the PCS5 NA Group Stage, where they will compete against the top 16 teams invited directly from the ESL PUBG Masters Americas: Phase 2 NA Group Stage for a spot in the PCS5 Americas Grand Final.

Rules to Note:
Sign-ups for teams close on Monday, August 9th at 11:59pm PT. Check in for all teams will open two hours prior to the first game and close one hour prior to the first game. Teams that fail to check in will be disqualified.
All players must be 18 years of age or older on or before August 11th, 2021. A minimum of two players on the main roster must be a Legal Citizen or Permanent Resident of the US or Canada in order for the team to be eligible to participate. Please note that Permanent Residency is a legal term. All teams are required to abide by SUPER in addition to the event rulebook.
Group Stage
As previously mentioned, NA and LATAM will have separate Group Stages. The PCS5 Americas NA Group Stage will begin on August 20th, consisting of 6 match days. The top 16 teams from the ESL PUBG Masters Americas: Phase 2 NA Group Stage will be joined by 8 teams that qualified through the NA Open Qualifier. Teams will be placed into groups of 8 (Groups A, B, and C) and each group will play 4 out of the 6 days. Seedings from these groups will be a snake draft determined by the ESL PUBG Masters Americas: Phase 2 NA Group Stage placements followed by the top 8 teams from the NA Open Qualifier by placement. The Group Stage will be a Best of 30 (Bo30) over six days where the top 6 teams, using the Most Chicken (MC) Rule scoring system found in SUPER, advance to the PCS5 Americas Grand Final. The next best 8 teams will advance to the PCS5 Americas Last Chance Qualifier, and the bottom 10 teams will be eliminated. Teams will also be fighting for their share of $25,000 in NA Group Stage prize money.

Rules to Note:
The roster submission deadline for the PCS5 Americas NA Group Stage teams is on Wednesday, August 18th at 11:59pm PT. For more information, please review section 12 of the rulebook.

Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)
The PCS5 Americas Last Chance Qualifier will begin on August 28th consisting of 2 days with 6 matches per day, for a total of 12 matches. The 7th-14th place teams from the PCS5 Americas NA Group Stage will be joined by the 7th-14th place teams from the PCS5 LATAM Group Stage. The top 4 teams from the PCS5 Americas Last Chance Qualifier, using the MC Rule scoring system found in SUPER, will move onto the PCS5 Americas Grand Final, joining the top 6 from each sub-regional PCS5 Americas Group Stage. Teams will also be competing for $20,000 in LCQ prize money.

Grand Final
Coming out of the sub-regional Group Stages, the top 6 teams from North America will join the top 6 teams from Latin America and the top 4 teams from the Last Chance Qualifier in the PCS5 Americas Grand Final, where they will compete for $250,000!!
Prize Pool & PGC Points
In addition to the $250,000 prize pool, the PCS5 Americas Grand Final will also be awarding PGC Qualification Points to the top 16 teams. More information on the PGC Points distribution and details can be found here.
